SPORT DEVELOPMENT OFFICER - Otago Country, based in Central Otago/Queenstown Lakes

Otago Cricket Association - Full-time

Otago Cricket are looking for a Sport Development Development Officer (SDO) who is passionate about sport and excited to join our team. The full-time role based in Central Otago will be primarily employed to deliver community cricket programmes across the region, but also be required to work with our partner organisations with similar objectives of improving physical activity and wellbeing in the community.


Desired attributes and skills:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Sport Management or Coaching
  • Coach Developer Knowledge and Experience
  • Ability to influence stakeholders of all levels
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Experience in delivering sport in a tamariki (junior) and rangatahi (youth) environment
  • Innovative and open to trying new initiatives
  • Working knowledge of Sport NZ ‘Balance is Better’ philosophies
  • Experience working to promote activity among diverse groups/and or communities.
