INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL CRICKET : TERM 1 2023

Dunedin Intermediate Schools Cricket icaters to students in year 7 & 8 at local intermediate schools and aims to provide additional and alternative playing opportunities to new and current boys and girls crickets.

While club cricket is an option for kids of this age, it is important that we offer alternative playing opportunties to cricketers of all levels. If your school is interested in entering a team (Boys / Girls or Mixed) please contact nic@otagocricket.co.nz

Dates: Wednesday 15 February – Wednesday 15 March 2023

Format: T16 Hardball Competition (8 a-side)

Structure: 5 week round robin + seeded playoff / like for like fixture. (pending team entries)

Clothing: Colors or Whites

Cost: $160 + GST per team (2 x balls provided)

Location: Various locations pending team entries and convenient locations. (E.g. Taieri College, Logan Park, Culling Park, John McGlashan, Bayfield Park)

Rules:

Max 3 Overs per bowler
Retire: 30 balls (can return)
Last player stands
Max 3 fielders (leg side)

Other: Games shall be self-scored & umpired. Teams must have teacher or parent support present.

SPECIALIST COACHING

Specialist Coaching is extremely beneficial and is the fastest route to improving a player’s game. Players will be paired with a specialist NZC accredited coach who will tailor a program to individual needs while remaining invested in player development.

Sessions will be held on Monday and Friday afternoons and run for 60 minutes. As well as 1 on 1 coaching we will offer both 2 on 1 and Small Group (4 max) coaching during this time.

Mondays and Fridays starting - 13 February 2023 – Ongoing

Time:

3.30pm-7.30pm

(Sessions run for 60 minutes on the half hour)

Cost:

1 on 1 - $50.00 per session

2 on 1 - $80.00 per session

3 on 1 - $90.00 per session

4 on 1 - $100.00 per session
