Southland Cricket - General Manager

Southland Cricket Association is the Regional Sports Organisation responsible for the delivery of cricket throughout Southland. The Southland Cricket Association (SCA) has set itself the strategic goals of growing the game in the region, hosting outstanding cricket events, having successful representative teams and being financially secure.

The Role: We have an exciting opportunity for a new General Manager to take the Association through a new era in the delivery of cricket from grass roots to first class and everything in between. The General Manager is a key contributor and responsible for the effective leadership, growth of commercial revenue, development and management of the SCA to ensure it achieves the strategic and operational goals.

Reporting directly to the Board the General Manager will have overall responsibility for all elements of the Association including strategic execution. Key accountabilities include:

  • Leadership and management
  • Financial sustainability
  • Planning and reporting
  • Liaison and communication
  • Commercial development and growth
  • Facilities and events

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic leader who is passionate about sports administration. You will need to be well organised and strong on communication and building relationships with key stakeholders.
