The Otago Volts have put the final touches on their CLT20 preparation with a comprehensive win over a Punjab XI in their one and only official warm up game in India.

Batting first the Volts made a statement with their total of 258-5 from their twenty overs. Jimmy Neesham took his form from Sri Lanka to a new level with a dazzling 104 from just 40 deliveries, Neesham's innings was a clinic in ball striking and included nine sixes and eight fours. Neesham was particularly brutal at the end of his innings, taking 29 from the final over. Captain Brendon McCullum was the next best of the batsman with 63 from his 29 balls faced.

Aaron Redmond and Michael Bracewell had a second bat in the visitors reply and both gained valuable time in the middle. Bracewell batted sixty four minutes and faced 51 balls for his 67 while Redmond composed a useful 28. The local side never looked likely of giving the total a fright and eventually finished at 144-7.

Nathan McCullum took 2-26 from his four overs and Marlk Craig 2-15 from his three.

The Volts complete their build up with a morning training at the match venue in Mohali tomorrow.
