Otago Cricket are in the very early stages of working with John Harley from Orbit Travel on a supporters tour for the SBS Bank Otago Volts trip to the Champions League in India. Details of the format for this tournament have emerged in recent weeks, the Volts will initially be involved in a four team qualifying tournament where we will play the Sri Lanka winners, Pakistan champions and 4th placed Indian team from the IPL. The top two teams from qualifying will go through to the group stage of the Champions League where they would play a further four games before the semi-finals. Vaughn Johnson's contract...
Otago Cricket announced today that Vaughn Johnson’s contract has been extended for a further two seasons. OCA CEO Ross Dykes said,” we have been very pleased with Vaughn’s work and are thrilled that we can retain him for a further two years. This will allow Vaughn to further develop our growing bank of young talent and continue to keep the SBS Bank Otago Volts at the forefront of domestic cricket. Champions League confirmed
The Champions League Twenty20 will return to India for the third time in five years in 2013 after the dates and format for this year's tournament were confirmed by the CLT20 Governing Council. The world's premier domestic T20 competition will be played from 17 September to 6 October. The tournament will follow a similar format to the two previous editions with a Group Stage preceded by a Qualifier. A total of 29 matches will be played in the tournament by the best domestic T20 teams from around the world.
