The University Grange Cricket Club has defeated Green Island in the Otago / Southland National Club Cricket Championship Final and will represent Otago & Southland in the National Finals in Auckland.

The win is the first for University Grange in this competition and club coach Mohit Rao said "It was an outstanding performance from the boys who have worked hard during the season with this goal in mind. The trip to Auckland will be a highlight for the club and many of the players who are set to be involved.  it will be a higher level of cricket than some are use to and this will be great for their development".
