Darren Broom has today been named as the final player to recieve an Otago Volts contract for the 2010-11 season.

The six Major Associations have today announced the completion of their list of 12 players to be offered contracts for the 2010-11 season.

Each Major Association offered between 9-11 contracts in the first round on 9 August with the final 1-2 contract offered today. 

The two stage process allowed for increased competition and ensured the best 92 players are contracted throughout the country.

Otago Volts Coach Mike Hesson said that " Darren receiving a contract was good reward for a promising start to his first career last season. A number of impressive innings including a century on debut in the Plunket Shield and an innings of 70 in his last one day game were stand out performances. Darren is a batsman of real promise and we look forward to his contribution to the squad this season".
