Otago Country Cricket Association as part of its strategic commitments towards community cohesion and creating a safer environment, is now in the position to appoint a Community Cricket Coach for a fixed term of 6 months.

Otago Country Cricket Association in partnership with Otago Cricket has been successful in gaining funding to employ a Community Cricket Coach. The successful applicant will develop cricket and multi-skills in the Otago Country District.

We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our Cricket Development Department to make a real difference to sport in the Otago Country area.

The Community Cricket Coach will work as part of a team across a range of clubs, schools, community groups delivering cricket. The aim is to develop the core movement, fundamentals and cricket skills and to provide opportunities for progression, based on the young person’s  interest and abilities.

You must have experience of coaching young people, within the range of different environments, and hold at least New Zealand Cricket Level I (or equivalent) coaching qualification. You will have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, together with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. All applicants will need their own transport.
